Camerimage is not only about films (though this is our priority). Each year we also organize exhibitions of internationally renown artists; auteurs of the world of art. This year you will be able to see Sandro Miller’s series of photographs he took in co-operation with actor John Malkovich. It will consist of 41 colour and black-and-white photographs recreating iconic works from the history of photography by the likes of Irving Penn, Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Bert Stern, Herb Ritts, Andy Warhol, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Dorothea Lange.
Below, you can see a few examples of what will be presented in the Tumult Gallery in November. Captions include a title of each work, as well as the information about the photograph it recreates. Enjoy!
